Spring has sprung and it is time to do some spring cleaning- for your teeth. The winter season may have brought some indulgences like hot chocolate, red wine, sweet desserts, chocolate candies. Springtime is great time to really give your teeth and gums a deep clean and tackle any underlying problems such as gum disease by visiting your dentist.
We have a few tips on how to refresh your oral care regimen.
- Replace your toothbrush. As a general guide, it is a good idea to replace your toothbrush about every three months. If you haven’t done so recently, take this as an opportunity.
- Replenish your supplies. Floss. Mouthwash. Toothpaste.
- Schedule a dental appointment. Odds are the holidays took a bit of a toll on your teeth (candy, sweets, food, etc.), and a quick visit to the dentist could prevent the need more a more intense, and more expensive, treatment down the road.
