Oral and Maxillofacial surgery are men or women certified in dentistry but, have gone through more medical school for surgery also.² They can do a wide variety of surgeries for the face, jaw, teeth. These oral surgeons go to school for an extra 1 or 2 years after medical or dentistry school.
